Set Up:
There are 14 players set up on a field split into three zones, playing 6v6. During play, the teams play 3v3 in the central and attacking zones, and use the defending zone as a “safety” zone, an area that the defenders may not enter. An attacking player can go back into the safety zone at any time in order to relieve pressure, but except for that one player, all the others must stay in their zones. Games are played to three goals, and on goals and balls put out of play, the game is re-started by the Feeder.
Coaching Points:
1. Hold the run and/or check away from the ball before receiving in order to create space.
2. With a defender on your back, take your first touch away from his pressure.
3. Play one or two touch soccer in order to move the ball thru the congested areas.
Progressions:
1. One attacker can cross over into the next zone.
