Up, Back, and Thru to Goal
Up, Back, and Thru to Goal
Organization:
Set up cones as starting points for the three players, about 40 yards from goal.
Description:
Play starts with a back pass from Player 1 to Player 2, starting inside of the square of cones. Player 2 takes his first touch out of the square and passes up to Player 3. After making that pass, Player 2 begins his overlapping run down the sideline. Player 3 plays it back to Player 1, who one touches the ball thru to Player 2. With that last pass, Players 1 and 3 make their runs to goal, sprinting past the cone before going to the far and near posts. As they run to goal, Player 2 controls the thru pass and dribbles towards the end line, moving past the cone before he crosses. Players 1 and 3 finish the cross.
Focus Points:
-
Timing the runs
