4v4, Dribble to Score
Set Up:
Area of 30 x 20. Goals are two large cones, 6 yards apart in each corner of the field.
Equipment: Balls, small and large cones, pinnies
4v4 with scoring between wide cones in corners. Two teams play 4v4. A goal is scored when a players dribbles over the goal line between two large cones and is clearly in control of the ball. Teams use a diamond shape. All restarts are taken by dribbling the ball in. Defender must step 5 yards back with restarts.
Coaching Points:
Attacking: Build Up
Transition: Attacking to Defending; Quick reaction after losing the ball.
Defending: Pressure / Cover / Balance principles, 1v1 Defending, staying compact
Transition: Defending to Attacking: Explode and quick first pass in transition.
